Mariam Nia

Having previously worked in various healthcare roles, including Triage Team Leader for a busy NHS doctor’s surgery in Brighton and in the Alexandra Hospital Outpatients department, I was thrilled to join the Sussex Back Pain Clinic in 2022 as part of their IDD team. 

I feel that my strengths lie in my kindness, my patience and my compassion for other people and I love working in an environment where I can play a part in helping people. We have some amazing results with our IDD Therapy programme at the Sussex Back Pain Clinic and the fact that you know you have played just a small part in making someone’s life so much better is hugely rewarding.  My favourite aspect of my role here at the clinic is the interaction with clients and the bonds that I form with them.

When I’m not at the clinic I’m busy being a full-time Mum. I also love running but you’ll often find me lost in the pages of a good book!
